The Higher Education User Group (HEUG) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that is dedicated to helping member institutions effectively manage administrative technologies to improve the student and user experience, and enable the effective management of data, faculty and staff talent, resources, and operations.

We support executives, managers and staff who select, deploy, integrate, manage and use multiple administrative systems and technologies by providing education and other professional resources for navigating the constantly evolving digital landscape.

In addition to learning from experts, we believe that higher education administrative personnel can learn a lot from each other. To that end, we seek to build a sense of global community and create opportunities—at in-person events and in online forums—to brings together like-minded, passionate individuals from diverse organizations to learn, collaborate, and share best practices, experiences, and knowledge.

Mission & Vision

The HEUG enables members to connect and is constantly evolving to meet the needs of our membership. While our core mission of providing connections, educational opportunities and advocacy for our members has not changed.

We connect our global community in four strategic ways:

1

Connecting Members to Members

The HEUG enables members to connect and share best practices, solutions and tactics with thousands of users worldwide. While each member institution is unique, the common challenges and business processes that bring us together. Members learn and grow from their collective experiences, enabling better informed decisions across all aspects of their information systems investments.

2

Connecting Members with our Primary Information System Partners

The HEUG enables members to connect and provide a unified voice on business requirements with our primary information system partners. This voice provides insight into future business processes needs, as well as the current challenges we face. Together, we are stronger in advocating for product strategy, product development, and the on-going support needs of the member institutions.

3

Connecting Members to Solution Partners

The HEUG enables members to connect with solution delivery partners to help solve problems that require resources beyond the ability of an institution. As member institutions innovate and move in new directions, staff augmentation, expert resources and third party technical innovators can greatly accelerate a member institutions ability to implement and increase their return on information system investments.

4

Connecting Members to Strategic Partners

The HEUG enables members to connect and share with leading strategic organizations that provide networking and tools to meet the diverse needs of our membership. The combined strength of the HEUG’s collective knowledge in information systems with the vision and support of these top strategic partners, enables us our members to extend and support their institutions in new and powerful ways.
