Bio

I received my Bachelor's degree in international relations from Georgetown University in the early 1990's. From there, I worked at Georgetown in an administrative capacity, and then at the American Consulate in Frankfurt, Germany. When I returned to the U.S., I worked for a government contractor as a proposal writer, but soon moved into technical writing, and then software development. In 2004, I started working in PeopleSoft as a developer on a custom application built on top of PeopleSoft Financials at the American Council on Education. I supported both Financials and HR at Enterprise Community Partners, a non-profit/for-profit hybrid company that helps build affordable housing. My role at Enterprise was developer/DBA--they had begun using PeopleSoft shortly before I started there, so I helped with the transition, working in App Designer and SQL Server and supporting General Ledger, Project Costing, Contracts, as well as the Timesheet in HR. I then moved to the University of Baltimore, where I took on a functional/business analyst role so I could better support users. I supported Commitment Control, General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Procurement, Billing, Accounts Receivable, reporting, and integration with Campus Solutions and Human Resources. At Towson University, I worked on the project team responsible for the migration from PeopleSoft Financials to Oracle Cloud Financials. I am currently a Sr. Analyst, Enterprise Financial Applications, in the Office of the Controller at University of Maryland, Baltimore, where I support Oracle Cloud Financials. I received my Master's in Computer Systems Management from the University of Maryland University College (now University of Maryland Global Campus).

Personally, I grew up in Pennsylvania, lived in Germany for a few years, and then settled in Maryland with my husband in 2000. We have one daughter, and enjoy travelling with her.
