Bio

I have 18 years of experience in higher education supporting different Student Information Systems. I have 14 years of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions experience at two different institutions. I have supported both a system implementation from a legacy mainframe system as well as an upgrade from PeopleSoft Campus Solutions 8.9 to 9.0 and most recently and upgrade from 9.0 to 9.2. In addition to the application implementation and upgrade, I have been involved in several PeopleTools upgrades and at the University of Missouri where we are currently using PeopleTools 8.59.05 to support our four instances of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions 9.2.

I have been an active member in the HEUG online community for the past ten years, most often posting about 3Cs and Communication Generation (Comm Gen). I am always happy to spend time discussing issues online that other institutions are experiencing and often receive emails directly based on presentations I've given at HEUG and Alliance.

At the Midwest HEUG conference in 2014 I gave a presentation about how we exposed completed Comm Gen communications to students via Self-Service in Student Center through a message portal we call our Message Center. I gave two presentations at Alliance 2015, one covered that same topic and the other was a presentation over how we solved a Financial Aid business process of Federal Verification communications and worksheets using delivered functionality of Comm Gen and Content Libraries. In July 2015 I presented a HEUG Education Series webinar on the Message Center bolt-on modification we built and had presented on at Alliance that year.

In March 2016 I gave a presentation at Alliance covering some innovative ways we've used 3Cs, Comm Gen and Content Libraries to solve several different business processes. In May 2016 I presented a HEUG Education Series webinar covering the topic I had presented at Alliance 2016. In October 2016 at Midwest HEUG I taught a pre-conference workshop on 3C Engine and Comm Gen. In March 2018 at Alliance I presented a Deep Dive into 3C Engine and Comm Gen covering basic setup all the way through complex and advanced topics with Content Libraries and XPATH logic used in BI Publisher templates for Comm Gen. In October 2019 at Midwest HEUG, I presented again showing our Self-Service Student Message Center bolt-on modification and also presented this virtually at Alliance 2020.

My most recent presentation was at Alliance 2023 where I presented a session on how the University of Missouri System implemented the Fluid Homepage/Navigation but implemented Classic Plus instead of Fluid pages.

Throughout most of my career I have been involved from the technical side of support, however over the past seven years I have moved into different leadership roles for the University of Missouri. My current role as an Associate Director over the Student Administrative Application Services Team has expanded my support role and understanding of Campus Solutions and the entire application that my team supports for the University of Missouri System.

Overall I've contributed to the HEUG Campus Community area in person through presentations at conferences and on-line collaboration through HEUG Educational Webinar series and the online forums. Over the past four years I've had the honor of serving the HEUG as a member of the Campus Community Advisory Group. This has been a great opportunity to collaborate with other HEUG community members and Advisory Group colleagues.  I'm looking forward to continuing to serve through my term and doing everything I can to make the HEUG a better online community.
