California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH)
Carolyn has worked at CSUDH since 1998. She has worked in the University Advisement Center as a Program Assistant and in the Admissions Office as the Lead Admissions Evaluator. Carolyn is currently the Degree Audit Analyst and Transfer Credit Lead in the Office of the Registrar.
As the Degree Audit Analyst & TC Lead at CSUDH, Carolyn is the functional lead for the Academic Advisement module in PeopleSoft. She works within the Academic Advisement and Student Records modules, including Academic Requirements pages, Transfer and Test Credit Rules building, Transfer and Test Credit posting, Student and Advisee Services Centers, and various PeopleSoft pages and modules that interact with these areas. She has also worked with the various Student Admissions pages as well. She works closely with the Academic Affairs office to ensure that approved curriculum is entered in to PeopleSoft in a timely manner to ensure students Academic Advisement Reports display the correct information for their degree requirements.
HEUG Participation
Carolyn has presented at SWHEUG and Alliance conferences. She participates in the Academic Advisement forums on the HEUG website. She currently serves on the of the Academic Advisement Advisory Group and the CARS Advisory Group.
Personal
Carolyn is an alumna of CSUDH, earning her Bachelors in Political Science - Global Politics Concentration in 1998 and her Master's in Public Administration in 2005. She is a past board member of the CSUDH Alumni Association. Carolyn is a Past-President with the CSUDH Chapter of the Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society.
Carolyn participates in 5K fun runs/walks. She enjoys reading - her favorite books include Cozy Mysteries, Fantasy, Biographies, Romances, Current and Historical Events, and anything else that catches her interest. She is a professed Disneyholic and has a Magic Key for Disneyland which she visits at least a couple times a month. She loves to travel any chance she gets and especially enjoys taking road trips throughout California and across the US. Carolyn especially enjoys visiting National Parks & Monuments and State Parks.
Carolyn also volunteers in her community. She is a board member for the American Cetacean Society - Los Angeles Chapter. She is an active volunteer with her sorority, Phi Sigma Sigma. She is board member for the Panhellenic Alumnae South Bay Association.
