Hello! I am Margo Kammeyer, and I am a member of the Project & Change Management Community of Practice. I have over 25 years of extensive project management experience leading multi-year and emerging technology projects. I am a certified PMI-PMP, PMI-Agile, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and Certified Information Systems Security Officer.
As a Project Manager at Bowling Green State University in Ohio, I have been actively involved in enabling our PeopleSoft environments to support student success and efficiencies in the back office. It's not enough to have well-functioning systems and projects delivered on time, however, if your processes cannot support them. And how often can we check back in after an extensive implementation and see just how those processes and areas are doing after they go live? Most likely, the answer is not as often as we would like as we move from project to project.
This desire to do something more and provide more to my customers prompted me to pursue a Quality Systems Degree and become a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt. By integrating project management and Lean concepts, I can provide my customers throughout the university with the tools and techniques to instill quality and efficiency into their business processes. What better way to lead change than to help educate and promote improvement and efficiency throughout the university?
