Fun Fact! I was one of those people who was afraid of computers. I damaged a floppy disc or two (for those who remember what those were) in my time. In college, I started out as an English Lit major and then decided to switch to Computer Information Systems, naturally! I eventually overcame my "computerphobia" and realized that technology can have a profound effect on our daily lives. I decided to pursue a Master's degree in New Media and Society and study the social impacts of new media technologies and theories of Game Studies. I understand and use technology, but I am apprehensive of the social consequences of too much of the Web. I believe that everyone has a right to a solid education and feel passionately about closing the Adult Digital Literacy gap.
